He was predeceased by: his parents, William McGarvey and Vera McGarvey (Seiders); and his siblings, William, Thomas, Stanley, Paul McGarvey, Kathleen Brinser, Nancy Charles, Dora Shelley and June Hostetter.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret (Zimmerman); and his grandchildren, Bradly, Finnian and Aislin.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sheetz Funeral Home (16 E Main St, Mount Joy, PA 17552). A prayer will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
