He is survived by: his wife Nancy Mellinger (Thrush); his children, Eugene (Judy), Philip (Sheri), Marcia (Alan Spoonhour), Rosene (Kenneth Hertzler) and Renee (Robert Carpenter); and his brother Glenn H. Mellinger. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
