He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Evans and Margaret Evans; his brother Col. Herbert W.; his sister-in-law Margaret Evans; his brother Richard "Dick" Evans; his siblings-in-law, Connie Brown Newman and Donald Newman; his nephew David Evans; and his granddaughter Megan Flohn.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Kay Evans; his children, James Richard Evans, Robert Allen Evans and Susan Lynn Evans-Trump (Larry R.) of New Cumberland, PA.; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Daryl, Jimmy, Nicole, Bob, Jacquelyn, Cameron, Tannis and Nick; his great grandchild Eli (Malik); and his sister-in-law Mary Anne Evans. He is also survived by his children, their spouses, and his grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Buch Funeral Home (21 W Main St, Mount Joy, PA 17552). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family has suggested memorial contributions be made, if desired to the American Cancer Society.
