She was predeceased by: her parents, James Toth and Elizabeth Toth; and her sisters, Dorothy Fatyol, Martha Holmes and Margaret Whalen.
She is survived by: her sons, Derek Backa (Kathy), David Unico (Karen Gottschall) and Jonathan Unico; her daughter-in-law Jill Unico; her grandchildren, Ryan Backa (Katie), Julia Backa, Mary Clair Unico (Brett Steele), Rocco Unico and Lily Belle Backa; and her great grandchild Mary.
A reception was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc. (4201 Brownsville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15227).
