He was predeceased by: his parents, Phenie Hile and Beulah Hile (Kratzer); his wife Ethel Hile (Watts); and his siblings, Lester Hile, Marlin Hile, Warren Hile and Dorothy Swartz.
He is survived by: his daughter Kathy Messimer; and his grandchildren, Dylan Messimer and Taz. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
