We announce the death of Gary L. Hood of Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 9, 2026, at the age of 80. Gary will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his son Daniel Hood. He is survived by: his wife Janet Hood (Vokes); his children, Flo Ruggeri (Dave) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Scott Hood (Georgiana) of Greensburg, PA and Jeff Hood (Tanya) of Derry, PA; his siblings, Robert of Mt. Pleasant and Patricia of Latrobe; and his friend Dennis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
