He is survived by: his children, Debbie Sue Shawley, Cindy Arrotti (Fred) and John D. Burd (Cindy); and his grandchildren, Sue Shawley Plowman (Dan), Joshua Burd (Beth), Tanner Burd, Tyler Burd, Zach Burd (Laura), Matt Arrotti (Emily), Travis Burd (Alicia), Mia Burd (Zach) and Iris Burd. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
