He was predeceased by: his parents, Angelo Fontanazza and Clara Ostrosky Fontanazza Sr.; his sister Maria; his in-laws, Eugene and Jessie Gowton; and his brothers-in-law, Tom Gowton and Orion Gowton (Olive).
He is survived by: his wife Mary V. Gowton Fontanazza; his children, Mario Fontanazza Jr. (Susie) and Gina Fontanzza (Robert); his grandchildren, Abby Baker (Jared), Brian Cunningham Jr. (Katlyn Welsh) and Mario Fontanazza III; his great grandchild Kyren Baker; his siblings, Barbara Pospisil (Lawrence), Angelo Fontanazza Jr. (Denise), Steven Fontanazza (Terri), Samuel Fontanazza (Diane) and Michael Fontanazza (Paula); his sisters-in-law, Judy Sabota (John) and Francie Hoke (Butch); and his pet Penny. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
