He is survived by: his wife Karen Ovitsky Govern; his son Richard W. Govern (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Gwen, Norah and Juliette; his siblings, Patty Govern, Robin Govern and Cheri Polakovsky; and his siblings-in-law, Darlene Govern, Pam Govern, Pam Lyda, Heather Smitley, Linda Ovitsky and Thomas Kalata. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc. (204 Eagle St, Mt Pleasant, PA 15666). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
