It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph E. Kochis of Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 17, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. For Joseph is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Kochis and Sophie Kochis (Rubitski); and his siblings, Jacqueline Kormis and George Kochis. He is survived by: his wife Carol Kochis (Ciolek); his daughter Maria Theresa Kochis; and his brother John Kochis (Joanne). He is also survived by six nieces and eight nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Most Holy Trinity Parish (212 PA-390, Cresco, PA 18326). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
