He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Varner and Virginia Varner (Gearhart); his wives, Anna Sophia (McMullen) and Caroline June Varner (Morrow); his son Charles G. "Herk" Varner Jr.; and his siblings, Luther, Naomi, Anna, Pauline and Cuma.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debra Kay Varner, Connie Larue Fields and Pamela J. Varner; his grandchildren, Dustin Heintz and Russell Heintz; his great grandchildren, Gage, Hayden, Ryan, Roxy, Kendall, Jared and Maggie; his great great grandchild Cove; and his siblings, Alice, Mary, Hazel, Nellie, Inaze, Dave, Don and Tom.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Heath-Anderson Funeral Home (61 E Shirley St, Mt Union, PA 17066). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
