It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma Joanne Gibson (Mount Union, Pennsylvania), born in Shirleysburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 14, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Norman E. Clark and Alma E. Clark (Shields); her daughter Kimberly S. Peterson; and her sisters, Evelyn Holden, Betty Lemasters and Edith Garlock.
She is survived by : her husband John D. Gibson Sr.; her children, Cheryl Beatty, Deborah Walters (Corey), John D. Gibson Jr. "JD" (Christine Hamilton) and Sherri Atherton; her grandchildren, Aaron, Courtney, Kayla, Cole, Kassidy of Thomas and Kendra; and her siblings, Bernice Geroge "Bernie", Norman E. Clark Jr. and Bertha Whitsel "Sis". She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter.
A memorial service was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at 6:00 PM at 17512 Rapture St, Shirleysburg, PA 17260.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in honor of Norma to the St Jude's Childrens Hospital.
