He was predeceased by : his wife Kathleen Moore Murdock; his son Leroy W. Murdock Jr.; his great grandchild Austin Yaple; and his brothers, Robert, Frank and Earl Murdock.

He is survived by : his daughters, Donna Yaple (Mike) of Ashley, Diane Jacobs (Sam) of Sweet Valley and Catherine Otto (Stan) of Nuangola; his grandchildren, Amber Jacobs, Stan Otto, Kyle Jacobs, Dmitri Yaple and Michael Yaple; and his great grandchildren, Autumn Jacobs and Addyson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
