Barbara B. Swords Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara B. Swords (Mountville, Pennsylvania), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 9, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon K. Bowman and Jewell Bowman (Reynolds); her husband Gene G. Swords; her grandson Brian Gene Swords; her sister Patti Kelly; and her siblings-in-law, Verna Bowman (Henderson), Anita Hess (Swords) and Earl Hess.
She is survived by: her children, Theodore Swords (Donna), Richard Swords (Catherine), Joanne Swords-Wang (Siang Hua), Jeanine Houff (Marlin), Robert Swords (Elaine), Jeanette Beisel (Robert) and Judy Miller (Mark); her brother Paul Bowman; and her brother-in-law Ron Kelly. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren.
