He was predeceased by : his father Major Thomas Strand. He is survived by : his son Jason Hooper; his friend Julia Bobb; his siblings, David, Matthew (Sharon), Jonathan Strand (Tahira), Donna, Cathy, Letitia, Debra, Deirdre, Wanda Strand and Lisa Strand-Greene (Danny); and his grandchildren, Nyajha Brown, Jason Hooper Jr. and Jah'lyla Glenn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
