She was predeceased by: her parents, Myers Piercy and Vivian Piercy (Pitcher); her husband Richard D. Bender; her son-in-law Robert Blend; and her grandchildren, Jessica, Jeremy Marshall, Nikka Westbrook and Anthony Beers.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Heintzelman (Richard) of Middleburg, Mark Hawk (Lynn) of Trout Run, Starr Blend, Donna Westbrook, Michelle Robey (Jerry) and Joy Beers (Scott); and her sisters, Ardith Cocchiarella, Bette Weaver and Donna Stoke. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
