He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Gloria F. Rummel (Kauffman) and Mark I. Rummel; his wife Lori Dangle; his sons, Brandon Rummel (Hayley Breech) of Huntersville and Zachary Rummel of Muncy; and his grandsons, Kip and Bentley.

He was a motorcycle enthusiast attending the 9/11 and other charity rides.
