He was predeceased by : his parents, Ralph C. Smith and Martha E. Smith; and his brother Donald "Kent" Smith. He is survived by : his close friend Barbara Johnson of Muncy; his children, Barbara D. Smith of New Braunfels, TX and Alan D. Smith of Park City, UT; his granddaughters, Emily and Allison Smith; and his sisters, Elaine Hacker of Lititz and Gwendolyn Cohen of Silver Springs, MD..
