Edward P. Kanai Jr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 6, 2025, at the age of 82, Edward P. Kanai Jr. of Munhall, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Kanai, and Margaret Kanai, Sr.; his brother James; and his sisters-in-law, Kate and Rosann.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Kanai; his children, Edward Kanai III (Elyse), Jessica Kanai, Michael Kanai (Laura) and Jeff "Gus" Kanai (Angie); his grandchildren, Tyler Kanai (Angie) and Samantha Kanai; his great grandchildren, Aleeah, Saylor and Walker; his siblings, David, Donald, Christine Grana (Thomas), Dennis (Cynthia), Timothy (Janet) and Peter (Polly); and his sister-in-law Teresa Sciarretti. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Edward P. Kanai Funeral Home (500 Greenfield Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15207). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St Paul Cathedral Parish (108 N Dithridge St, Pittsburgh, PA 15213).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Greenfield Baseball Association.
