She was predeceased by: her husband Michael Romzy; her parents, Michael Ference and Julia Ference; her siblings, Michael "Buddy" Ference (late Mary Ellen), Florence Jacobs (late Michael) and Lois Ference; and her nephews, Kenneth Ference and Tom Karolcik (Carrie).

She is survived by: her son Michael; her daughter-in-law Patricia Romzy; her sister Janet Gipp (Michael); her sister-in-law Barbara Karolcik (late Tom); and her nieces and nephews, Michelle Martin (Michael), Steve Ference (Kelly), Michael Ference (Kathleen), Martha Merda (Bob), Carol Gastrock, Anna Kovalcik (Tom) and John Karolcik (Amanda).

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Helen's memory to St. Elias Byzantine Catholic Church.
