He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Smith and Gertrude Lieb Smith; his wife Pearl Smith; and his daughter Karen Christine Smith. He is survived by: his children, Kelly J. Rupprecht and Warren D. Smith (Sara); his grandchildren, Allison, Michelle, Haley and Gavin; and his brothers, Thomas Scott Smith and Terry Smith (Reta). He is also survived by husband endeared by his wife, a father cherished by his children and a grandfather loved by his grandchildren and known to them as "Pappy".
