He was predeceased by: his parents, Eli Evankovich and Leona Olga Meschia Evankovich; his children, John Robert Evankovich and Bonnie Gamble; his grandchildren, Steven Evankovich, Patricia Gamble and Edward Gamble; and his brother James Evankovich.
He is survived by: his wife Thelma M. Hoffman Evankovich; his children, Carl Evankovich (Mary Ann) of Murrysville, Rosemarie Zaydak (Michael) of Allegheny Twp, Mary Gamerro (Robert) of New Kensington and Carole Pomager (Peter) of Murrysville; and his daughter-in-law Bernice Evankovich. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations made in his name to Red Cloud Indian School.
