He is survived by: his father Edgar "Lefty" Friend; his wife Phyllis Friend; his children, Katie, Brian Friend (Kati) and John Friend; his grandchildren, Ashley and Alison; and his siblings, Robert, Carol and Jim. He is also survived by extended family, friends.
