Sylvia M. Getty Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on May 16, 2025, at the age of 88, Sylvia M. Getty of Murrysville, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hanka and Helen Hanka (Peretin); her brother John Hanka, Jr.; her husband Benjamin H. Getty; and her sons, Benjamin C. Getty and Matthew J. Getty.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Getty (Donna) of Greensburg, Scott Getty (Ann) of Washington Township, Denise Getty-Olson (James Olson) of Park City, UT and Amy Getty Rogers (Jeffrey) of Kernersville, NC; and her sister Jeanne Burtoft (Edward) of Durham, NC. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren, with another great-grandchild.
