He was predeceased by: his parents, Vanler Smith and Rachel Pusey Smith; and his brother-in-law Carl Barker. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Barker Smith; his children, Bret Smith (Sandy), Ft Myers, Lance Smith (Karen) of Coeur D'Alene, ID, Dirk Smith Export (Lorie) and David Ferri; his grandsons, Tyler Smith, Jeremy Smith (Laura) and Justin Smith (Alyssa); his nephew Wayne Barker; and his sister-in-law Dora Barker.
