It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard E. Kotar Sr. of Muse, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 10, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Kotar and Rachel Marlette Kotar; and his wife Patricia L. Kotar. He is survived by: his children, Richard E. Kotar Jr. (Lisa) of Muse and Lori A. Veres of Hernando Florida; his grandchildren, David Veres (Lindsay), Chelsea Smouse (Frank), Heather Varn (Marcus), Jenna Rosenberry (Jeremy), Sara Brady (Joshua) and Rae Kotar (Robert Kingerski); his great grandchildren, Brandon, Paxton, Bryson, Braelynn, Colton, Gabriella, Houston, Scott, Levi and Mila; and his siblings, Anton, Douglas and Delores Harrington (Paul). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Sunday, September 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. (304 W Pike St, Canonsburg, PA 15317). A memorial service was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 from 7:30 PM to 7:45 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at 3739 Washington Rd, Canonsburg, PA 15317.
