He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Ebling and Betty Ebling (Brandt); and his brother Dale Ebling. He is survived by: his wife Kathy J. Ebling (Layser); his children, Craig Ebling (Denise), Jacob Ebling (Laura), Sarah Gass (David), David Ebling (Meghan), Michael Ebling (Jessica Cavalcanti), James Ebling (Callie), Rachel Mentzer (Shane) and Thomas Ebling (Julie); his grandchildren, Tyler, Jeanine, Addison, Erin, Sydney, Thomas, Kaitlin, Elijah, John and Clark; and his brothers, Michael Ebling (Candace), Erich Ebling and Geoffrey Ebling (Joy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
