It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emily L. Shaw (Myerstown, Pennsylvania), born in Reading, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 2, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, John H. E. Weidner and Emily E. Weidner (Spohn); and her husband Ernest D. Shaw. She is survived by : her children, Victoria "Vicky" Salisbury (Charles) of Hummelstown, Margaret "Peggy" Finch (Marty) of Cary, William Shaw (Paul Silva) of Hopkinton, Massachusetts, Stephen Shaw of Columbia and Gary Shaw (Dawn) of Etters; her grandchildren, Stephen Salisbury (Heather), Gordon Salisbury (Amy), Shelby Salisbury, Madeline Silva, Owen Silva, Ryan Shaw, Ethan Shaw, Zachary Shaw, Kathryn "Katie" James and Andrew James; her great grandchildren, Johanna, Bianca, Lydia, Cillian and Piper; and her brother John W. Weidner (Celia) of Pearl, Mississippi.. She is also survived by mother to her five children and a military spouse.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Zion United Methodist Church 22 E. Main Ave Myerstown, PA 17067 or Stoneridge Village at Poplar Run. .
