He was predeceased by : his parent Myrl Taylor; and his brother Robert Dohner. He is survived by : his significant other Gloria Dohner; his children, Michael Dohner (Kimberly) and Jean Eby (Jason); his grandchildren, Dylan Dohner (Kailtyn), Athena Lausch and Collin Lausch; his stepgranddaughter Tonya Sponenberg; his great grandchildren, Cooper Dohner, Indy-Jane Dohner and Annalise Lausch; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Tanner Miller, Chase Reidel and Elaina Sponenburg; and his siblings, Gary Dohner, Glenn Taylor, James Taylor, Sharon Taylor and Tina Anzalone.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jay's memory to the Air Mobility Command Museum.
