He was predeceased by: his parents, John McVay and Mary Ellen McVay (Flavin); his wife Jean A. McVay (Gaydos); and his siblings, Gerald McVay, Peggy Beam and Mary Ellen Buckley.
He is survived by: his sons, Daniel J. McVay (Suzanne) of Honey Brook, Thomas J. McVay (Delia) of Winter Park and Michael A. McVay (Barb) of Treasure Island; his grandchildren, Celia Amkraut (Zach), Sammy McVay, Breanne McVay and Taylor McVay; his great grandchildren, Harper Rae and Jaxon Cade; and his sister-in-law Connie McVay of Glenshaw.
