With sadness, we share the passing of Shirley J. Nelson (Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania). Shirley, born on May 2, 1932, passed away on October 13, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnelle T. Richardson and Clara E. Richardson (Miller); her husband Robert D. Nelson; her son Gary Nelson; her brother Art Richardson; and her great great grandchild Izak Nelson.
She is survived by: her children, Pam Nelson, Kim Tomporoski (Terry) and Craig Nelson (Kelly); her daughter-in-law Jennifer Nelson; her grandchildren, Christopher Sirota (Missy), Tara Lucas (Barry), Shawn Nelson, Angela Yeager (Bob), Colton Tomporoski, Chelsea Parknavy (Joel) and Nicholas Nelson; and her great grandchildren, Parker, Nash Lucas, Dominic, Noah Nelson, Samantha, Bobby Yeager, Mila Sirota and Jackson Parknavy.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home (1522 Carlisle St, Natrona Heights, PA 15065). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Shirley may be made to the Community Library of Allegheny Valley, 1522 Broadview Blvd., Natrona Heights, Pa. 15065.
