He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilmer Dorney and Velma Dorney; and his girlfriend Marjorie Konopke. He is survived by: his brother Garry Dorney (Marie); and his children, Michael Dorney (Sunita Ramdeen), Tracy Stauffer (Michael Soltis), Karen Dorney (Matt Koch), Robert Konopke (Cynthia), Lori Bray (David) and Patti Chierchio. He is also survived by his family, especially his 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
