He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Wherthey and Mary Fader Wherthey; and his brother Timothy Wherthey. He is survived by: his wife Frances Druzisky; his sons, John P., Christopher Wherthey (Shelly) and Kevin Wherthey; and his siblings, Lawrence Wherthey (Ruth) and Kathy Matthews. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
