He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil, Sr. Sofsky and Elizabeth Sofsky (Pavalishan); and his brothers, Emil, Jr. and Gregory Sofsky. He is survived by: his wife Sherin-Lee (Skerry); his children, Regina Sofsky-Casella (Salvatore) of Tamaqua, Patrice Miano (Anthony) of Brooklyn and Richard Sofsky (Gabriella) of Whitestone; his grandchildren, Christian, Jonathan, Angelina Casella, Nicolangelo, Gianluca, Alessandro, Gabriel Sofsky and Devon Knauff; his great grandchild Cayden Sharpe; and his sister Natalie "Sissy" Keisla (Ronald) of Florida. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
