He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joanne; his children, Lee Cavanagh (Stephanie), Caitlin Lesniak (Joseph) and Kiernan Cavanagh (Erin); his siblings, Bart Cavanagh, Martha Cavanagh and Patience McFadden; and his grandchildren, Avery, Mallory, Trevor, Will, Maeve and Declan. He was also cherished by his family, watching his grandchildren.
