He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lander and Louise Judy Lander; his former wife Ella Burkhouse; his wife Lois Aikins Phillips; and his siblings, Clyde, John and Audrey.

He is survived by: his son Wesley Lander (Michelle) of Strattanville; his granddaughter Danica Lander; and his siblings, Ronald Lander of Marienville, Leo Lander (Edye) of Lucinda, Robert Lander (Linda) of Lucinda, Elizabeth Rapp of Shippenville and Jeanine Schmader of Shippenville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rupert Funeral Home and Cremation Service Chapel (233 Penn St, New Bethlehem, PA 16242). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Charles Catholic Church (201 Washington St, New Bethlehem, PA 16242).

“Wesley and family, I am so sad to hear of your father’s passing. He was one of many terrific uncles I’m blessed to have. I have lots of good memories of him. We were always so glad when he came to NY for a visit and to see him and all of you in PA when we could. I won’t be coming for the funeral but will be with you all in spirit remembering my Uncle Larry! My sympathy. Cousin Bonnie”
