He was predeceased by: his parents, Katherine Ribar Trappen and Francis Trappen; his uncle Edward J.; his aunt Elizabeth A. Ribar of Freedom, PA.; his brother Edward T.; his sister-in-law Mary Alice Ribar; his parents-in-law, Irene Triance of Rochester, PA and Julius Pletz of Beaver Falls, PA; and his brothers-in-law, Julius A. Pletz and Tony Paisley of Virginia.
He is survived by: his wife Susan L. Ribar; his children, Richard E. of Saratoga Springs, Utah, Dana M. Cummings (Dayton) of New Brighton, PA and Michael F. (Stacey) of Gibsonia, PA; his sister Emily J. Ribar of Beaver, PA.; his siblings-in-law, Thomas Pletz (Diane) of Daugherty Township, PA, Gary Pletz (Eileen) of Virginia and Donna Paisley of Florida; and his grandchildren, Ethan, Rowan, Brynn, Lydia and Regan. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and the many friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the J&j Spratt Funeral Home (1612 3rd Ave, New Brighton, PA 15066). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Felix Catholic Church (450 13th St, Freedom, PA 15042).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Our Lady of the Valley R.C. Church, the Humane Society of Beaver County, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
