He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Cortez and Betty Louise Cortez (Newton); his daughter Kelly Reese Cortez; his sister Michelle "Micki" Irwin; and his former wife Dianne Lynn Cortez (Bair).
He is survived by: his sons, Jeff Cortez of New Castle and Tyler Cortez of Ellwood City; and his grandchild Sidney Michael Cortez.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. (309 Spring Ave, Ellwood City, PA 16117). The military honors will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 3:50 PM at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
