Cynthia Marie Shipman Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cynthia Marie Shipman (New Castle, Pennsylvania), who passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nick Cangey and Mary Ann Trepicone Cangey. She is survived by: her sons, David Shipman and Stephen Shipman (Leah); her siblings, Marcy Mendicino and Gary Cangey; her grandson Stephen; her siblings' children, Krista Kioalicas, Carly Mendicino and Peter Mendicino; and her aunt Rita Tommelleo. She is also survived by three great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. (941 S Mill St, New Castle, PA 16107). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Holy Spirit Parish (314 W Englewood Ave, New Castle, PA 16105).
She formerly held positions at Community Alternatives, Bair Foundation, and various nursing homes in the community.
