We are sad to announce that, on November 23, 2025, at the age of 101, John L. Grieve of New Castle, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though John may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Victor Grieve and Marian Rose Spurk Grieve; his spouse Shirley Owens; and his son John Charles Grieve. He is survived by: his children, Timothy Paul Grieve (Susan) of Dallas, TX and Susan Lorraine Churchill (Bob) of New Castle; and his grandchildren, Ian Grieve (Star), Laural Skiendzielewski (Andy), Carolyn Longino (Waylon) and Aaron Churchill (Alicia). He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
John served on boards of American Red Cross and American Cancer Society.
