She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph A. Carrigan and Alice Carrigan (Woods); her husband Grant C. Smith; and her siblings, Mary Alice Jamison, Helen "Nellie" Brown, Rita Carrigan, Tom, Ambrose, Charlie, Joe Carrigan and Leo Carrigan.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Kwolek (Gary) of New Castle, Patricia Caughey (Mark) of New Castle, Grant Smith, III (Nancy) of New Castle and Joan Smith of New Castle; her grandchildren, Mark (Dena), Joshua, Shawn Caughey, Jessalyn Wheatley (Craig), Benjamin Smith (Erika), Christopher Kwolek (Britney) and Hunter Rozzi; and her great grandchildren, Bradshaw, Brynley Wheatley, Gwendolyn, Callista Smith and Kamila Kwolek.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. (111 W Falls St, New Castle, PA 16101). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Spirit Parish – St. Mary's (124 N Beaver St, New Castle, PA 16101).
