He was predeceased by: his parents, John Michael and Nettie Newman (Garner); his wife Nancy L. Newman (Horton); and his siblings, John, Harold, Harvey Newman and Annetta Diehl.
He is survived by: his children, Michael R. Newman, Denise A. Hendricks and Dennis L. Newman; and his brothers, Kenneth and Roy Newman. He is also survived by six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
