He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Anne Rigby; his sons, Paul Joseph Jr., Christopher Todd Canis (Jacqueline) and Jonathan Blakely Canis (Michele); and his sister Lucy Thornton. He is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
