He is survived by: his girlfriend Cecelia Grimes Ryan; his stepdaughters, Miranda Degarmo of Pittsburgh, PA and Kayla Douglas (Christopher) of New Castle, PA; and his siblings, J. Thomas Sawyer (Tish) of Spokane, WA, Cynthia A. Wheeling (Bob) of Lancaster, PA and Deborah S. Roud (Jeff) of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews.
