He is survived by: his wife Madelyn Cobbs; his children, Tyrone Jones, Sean Moore, Charles Currie (Elisa) and Marlene Currie; his siblings, Jerome Johnson (Roberta), Derrick Johnson (Michelle), Gwen, Robin and Denise Johnson; and his pet Smokey Robinson. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
