It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne E. McCormick (New Castle, Pennsylvania), who passed away on July 26, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Brooks (McCormick) and Elder (Sara McCormick); his daughter-in-law Kimberly McCormick (Kerr); and his sister Joyce Sewruk (Brooks). He is survived by: his significant other Janet McCormick (Lutz); his children, Rodney W. McCormick of New Castle, Tammy Cunningham (Roger) of New Castle and Leann Wente of New Bremen, Ohio.; his grandchildren, Kaycee Aubel (Tim), Jenna Flaim (Jordan), Brittany Taylor (JT), Chris Wente (Charity), Amanda Bolinger (DJ), Nicolette O'Hara (Luke), Rob Wente (Taylor), Shelby McCullough (Alex) and Dylan Wente; his great grandchildren, Trenton, Avonlea, Colton, Easton, Linya, Irelyn, Ruby, Everly, Carter, Jordy, Barrett, Nora, Macklen and Leila; and his brothers, Ralph Brooks (Patty) of New Castle and Jim Brooks (Betsy) of Lebanon, PA..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (984 W Maitland Ln, New Castle, PA 16105).
