He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Christian and Doris Genevieve Hurst (Michael); and his sisters, Lois A. Lowthert, Marian R. Miller and Jean D. Dilcher.
He is survived by: his wife Gayle Dorothea Hurst (Zimmerman); his sons, Edward C. Hurst (Lauren Rogers) of Mechanicsburg and David A. Hurst (Rachel Warrick) of New Cumberland; and his brother Kenneth Hurst of Tow, TX. He is also survived by step grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
