He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Ray and Mary Ray (Vogus); his wife Gertrude Cora Bridge Ray; his siblings, Edward, Paul Ray and Nancy Liberoni; and his stepgrandson Jeremy Scifo.
He is survived by: his children, Charles J. Ray (Donna) of Phoenix, AZ., Susan Lichtenfels (Richard) of Armagh, Paulette Brown (James) of New Derry and Anita Scifo (Joseph) of Bradenville; his siblings, Dick Ray (Joanne) of Greensburg, Vianna "Ginger" Butala (Tony) of Latrobe, Patricia Terdle of Hostetter and Mary Jane Zarzeczny of North Huntingdon; and his grandchildren, Richard Lichtenfels, Lisa Akers, Christopher Ray (Michelle), Michael Ray (Rachel), Alyssa Lape (Brandon), Maria Hagenbrook (Ryan), Cristen Scifo and Joseph Scifo. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
