She was predeceased by: her parents, William Smyers and Dorothy Smyers (Nearhood); her son Dustin Dodson; and her sisters, Annette Tew and Patty Reighard.
She is survived by: her husband Jack M. Dodson Sr.; her children, Jack Dodson Jr. of New Enterprise and Becky Allison (Mike) of New Enterprise; her grandchildren, Megan, Trevor Allison and Addison Dodson; her great grandchild Kolter Allison; and her siblings, Sandy Zimmerman of Hopewell and William Smyers of Durham, NC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
