He was predeceased by: his parents, Royal Shorter and Stella Shorter West; his siblings, Jim Shorter, Stella Mac Lotman and Donna Holbrook; and his granddaughter Lexi Brodak.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy (Touchton); his children, Kevin Shorter (Sherri), Kimberly Eubanks (Sean) and Keith Shorter (Heidi); his grandchildren, Brad Brandenburg, Luke Brodak, Nick Brodak, Kaylee Shorter, Jake Shorter, Thomas Shorter, Abbie Shorter, Karli Eubanks and Brynne Buhanks; his great grandchildren, Jessie Brandenburg, Lily Brandenburg, Jude VanDette and Stella Shorter; and his brother Royal.
